Bonjour. Je m'applle syrup.
Well congratulations, you have found the direct source to everything about an enchanting and charming knucklehead. Refer to my archives for more about me. I am a nostalgic adolescent in the representation that appears to be a 18 year old Asian American. I am a vegetarian. I like boots and journals. I like bagels and the variety there is as well as the spreads. I am an idealist. I like adventure and discovery. I'm witty I'm nutty and I'm silly as silly putty. Easily intrigued, and fascinated with everything. I'm the kind of person that would act like an over joyous forty-niner when I have found the gold. I spend half my time wondering possibilities and "impossibilities". I do not agree with our contemporary. It's my utmost wish to transcend. So please, if you know any way out, contact me immediately. I would give a hoot for some grape or lemon-lime soda, and I will often go out of my way to hold the door for you. Music is my forte. I highly enjoy Hubristic humor. I like a lot of things. More than the average person. And more than likely, I'll like you. Lastly, I am very uh-ku'ward.
Those are my I's, aren't they pretty?
What one would find in this blog is everything to any little thing that derives from any bit of passion of myself. I could proceed in making a list of beliefs, rights, etc. But I shan't. A glimpse through my archive will do the trick.
TRIGGER WARNING: Rape culture
dank-potion:Think this shit’s funny?
Keep making rape jokes then.
It really gets me when people say things like “why didn’t you report them!?” or “it’s your fault, you let them walk free”. Statistically speaking, rapists will not be convicted, or tried or even brought in for questioning. The victim is lucky if their charges even get a second glance. Plus, the horrific things victims have to go through to prove that they’ve actually been victimized further damages their psyche and healing process, which should be their first priority above anything. It’s the sad reality we live in and rapists know this and it’s why they continue to be so prevalent. In addition, we live in a victim-blaming society where rape is considered a preventable situation in which a person can’t suppress their innate sexual urges instead of a violent, horrific crime. By saying things like “she was asking for it” or “they shouldn’t have been so drunk” suggests rape is something everyone is capable of if they’re tempted enough, which it most certainly is not.
These numbers need to change. This is embarrassing and disgusting, but we as a society, need to start rethinking how we even perceive rape before that can happen.
Well we live in a patriarchal society that sexualizes women (especially WOC) and insults men. Women are often blamed for their rapes because “men can’t control themselves,” “You should have done this,” “You shouldn’t walk around past this time,” “insert other oppressive stupid reason here,” and men will often times NEVER REPORT RAPES because they are insulted and demasculinized, and let’s not forget trans/queer people having to go into detail of their gender-stance and that being a whole entire other issue because of this stupid society. It makes me sick. But for those of you who wonder why women, men and trans (and anything else I am forgetting) think, “fuck reporting it,” use the power of empathy to place yourselves in their shoes. Think about the ridicule and the loopholes of the justice system to incriminate you rather than your oppressor, then tell me if you have the courage to tell a police officer one of the worst things you can do to a human being in detail.
What angers me most is that the new definition of rape (or rather when they wanted to change the definition) involves penetration. That means forced oral, heavy petting, and other acts are completely underminded.
